Our bungalows. It was good to sleep in a real bed and have a clean shower after sone nights in the tents. More bungalows. The pool was only 12°C 'warm'. The reception building.

Jason and Stanley, caracal cubs. They are just so cute. The cubs' and dogs' place. The dogs are raising the cubs. The brand new big restaurant.....

.....and that's it from inside. The only link to the outside world, which includes Internet at 9600 baud !!! On the way to the bushman paintings. The Lodge seen from the distance.....

.....embedded in beautiful countryside. We have to walk from this point. The famous snakehead rock. Looks more like a ram's head for me.

This is the Hammerstein rock by the way. The 'lobby'. Souvenirs, souvenirs..... Restaurant for small groups.

The cubs' parents are not gentle, unlike Jack, so they have to stay in an enclosure. But they can be approached with due care. Daddy is not as sociable as his mate. One of the staff members playing with Jack. Jack playing with can.

Jack & The Snäkes. Markus & staff. The children are currently here on school holidays. Their teacher in Windhoek told them to bring something back which is of general interest. They captured a scorpion, one of the really venomous kind. If this is suitable for school ???
