Useful Namibia travel links

National Flag of the Republic of Namibia

Internet resources that we've found useful for our travel preparations: Namibia Travel Online - the one-stop portal for all local bookings (accomodation, cars, etc.). Available in German & English language. Thomas Richter maintains an excellent database about camping possibilites across the country. Enables the perfect balance between moderate cost and good quality accomodation. German only. Their discussion forum is a really valuable information source. German only.
Two other illustrated travelogues that have inspired us considerably. Both in German only. An interesting abstract about all relevant local health, safety & general tourist issues. English only. International currency converter. Multiple languages. The perfect piece of kit to store digital photographs without the need to take your laptop or lots and lots of memory cards (you WILL take many pictures in Africa. ;-) Has proven to resist Namibian dust and shocks on gravel roads. English and French language.

To be continued.....
